Vy and Quyen's Vietnamese wedding was a full day of tradition and celebration in South Florida. It began with a tea ceremony at home framed by a wall of pink and red roses, and it ended with a glowing reception at the Milander Center in Hialeah, just outside Miami.

In between came white áo dài, a line of bridesmaids in soft pink, a playful welcome from the groomsmen and a first dance on a cloud of fog with sparklers on both sides.

The Tea Ceremony at Home

The morning started with Vy in a white áo dài beside a beautiful floral backdrop of pink and red roses, her name and Quyen's set in the center. The red tea trays, golden teapot and gift boxes were ready, and both families gathered close.

Some of our favorite frames came from the quiet moments: Vy's mother and father fastening her jewelry, and the families sharing blessings as the couple offered tea to their elders.

Bridesmaids in Pink, Groomsmen in White

Vy's bridesmaids wore matching pink áo dài, and Quyen's groomsmen came dressed in white. When the groom's family arrived with the gift procession, the whole street filled with color, and the groomsmen made the walk to the door a celebration of its own.

The Milander Center, A Reception Venue Near Miami

In the evening, the celebration moved to the Milander Center in Hialeah. The hall was dressed in white and gold, with a floral arch for the cake and a monogrammed dance floor waiting for the couple. Vy changed into her wedding gown, and Quyen walked her into the room to cheers from family and friends.

A First Dance on the Clouds

The first dance was pure magic. Low fog covered the dance floor and sparklers lit up both sides as Vy and Quyen danced together, and the room could not stop smiling. Live music, a lively program and a packed dance floor carried the night from there.
