The Traditional Family Ceremony
The morning began with the groom's family walking in procession down the street, each person carrying a red gift tray, including a whole roast pig, a traditional symbol of prosperity. Juliana's family welcomed them at a home decorated with red and white balloons and flowers, and the trays were exchanged one by one with smiles and bows.
Inside, before the family altar, Trung and Juliana honored their ancestors and parents in their Ôo dà i and received blessings from both families.
The Church Ceremony
Later, Juliana changed into her white gown for the church ceremony. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple exchanged vows and rings in a bright, peaceful church, and the bridal party celebrated with them on the steps afterward.
The Reception
The reception was a celebration of culture and fun. Traditional fan dancers took the stage, confetti filled the air for the couple's grand entrance and their first dance drew every eye in the room. Then the lights went down, the glow sticks came out and the dance floor did not slow down until the very last song.
