The Brannon Center, A Riverfront Venue in New Smyrna Beach
The Brannon Center sits right on the Indian River in downtown New Smyrna Beach, with floor to ceiling windows looking out over the water and the North Causeway bridge. Inside, a modern ballroom with tall ceilings and dramatic hanging lights can transform for both an elegant ceremony and a full scale dance party.
Just outside, Riverside Park and its iconic white arch monument make a perfect backdrop for wedding party photos.
Getting Ready, Sunshine After the Storm
Alice got ready with her bridesmaids at the Hilton Garden Inn Daytona Beach Airport, starting in matching light blue pajama sets and then black satin robes, popping champagne and posing out front in their sunglasses as the sky cleared. Her gown hung in the window, and the details were perfectly on theme: soft blue invitation suite, pearl heels, and a little MRS box.
The palette for the day was dusty blue, white, and greenery, from the bridesmaids' mix and match blue gowns to the flower crown Alice wore later in the evening.
First Look by the River
With the rain gone, we headed outside by the water for Tony and Alice's first look. Tony waited with his back turned, the groomsmen lined up behind him, and when he finally turned around, his reaction was pure joy. A big hug, a twirl, and a few happy tears later, the wedding party cheered them on.
We took the whole crew to the white arch at Riverside Park for wedding party photos, and as the clouds lifted, the sky turned into an incredible sunset of pink and purple behind the monument.
An Emotional Ceremony
The ceremony moved indoors, under a lush floral arch of white and blue blooms framed by windows overlooking the river. It unfolded with a touching emotional depth, as Tony and Alice spoke about the circumstances that led to the postponement and everything they had been through together to get here.
A friend played guitar and sang, there were heartfelt words from family, and by the time Tony and Alice shared their first kiss as husband and wife, there was not a dry eye in the room.
The Reception, Dancing the Night Away
The bridal party made one of the most fun grand entrances we have ever seen, dancing in pairs in sunglasses, spinning, dipping, and even carrying each other across the floor. Tony and Alice followed with a first dance that ended in a lift and a spin, and then shared sweet dances with their parents.
Dinner was catered by Hao Wah Chinese Restaurant, the cake was a beautiful two tier design painted with blue florals, and I Heart Photo Bomb kept guests laughing at the photobooth. Then the foam glow sticks, LED glasses, and cowboy hats came out, and the dance floor went off for the rest of the night.
