Canvas Event Venue, A Modern Orlando Wedding Venue
Canvas Event Venue is exactly what its name promises: a clean, open space that becomes whatever a couple imagines. Tall ceilings, soft white drapery, polished floors and a bright, gallery style lobby give photographers and decorators a blank page to work with. For Phi and Loannie, that page turned lavender and violet.
The venue also has a bridal suite on site, which made the afternoon wonderfully calm. After the tea ceremony, Loannie could change into her gown, freshen up and step straight into portraits without another drive across town. For couples planning an Orlando wedding with a busy timeline, that kind of convenience matters more than you would think.
Getting Ready in Lavender
The morning started at home with Loannie and her bridesmaids in matching lavender robes, laughing their way through the last few minutes before the day really began. Hair and makeup by LeJeune Artistry kept everyone looking fresh from the first photo of the morning to the last dance at night.
The details were waiting for us too: the gown hanging against a carved garden screen, and three rings glowing against warm bokeh. Then came the moment Loannie stepped into her white Ôo dà i with a beaded headpiece, and the house got very quiet.
The Tea Ceremony at Home
Phi and Loannie chose to keep their ceremony at home, with no church ceremony, and the tea ceremony became the heart of the day. The groomsmen lined up in white shirts and teal ties carrying red lacquered gift trays, the bridesmaids met them in mint Ôo dà i under a floral Thà nh HÓn arch, and one by one the trays passed from hand to hand while both families cheered.
Inside, a red altar dressed with the couple's names and wedding date set the scene for the formal introductions, prayers to the ancestors and the exchange of jewelry. We loved watching the mothers fasten Loannie's headpiece and veil, a small moment that carried a lot of love. Our Vietnamese MCs, Thuy Vincent Nguyen and Tuoi Bui Nguyen, guided both families through each tradition with warmth and humor.
A Matching Ćo DĆ i and a Walk in the Park
One sweet surprise: Phi's mother gifted Loannie a mint Ôo dà i to match her bridal party. After the tea ceremony, Loannie changed into it for portraits in the park so she could celebrate alongside the women standing beside her. The fabric caught the breeze beautifully, and some of our favorite frames from the whole day are of her Ôo dà i flying behind her while Phi held her close.
The groomsmen jumped, posed and laughed their way through group photos, and the whole wedding party seemed to have more energy as the day went on, not less.
The First Look at Canvas
At Canvas, Loannie changed into her white gown and we set up a first look in the venue's bright lobby. Phi waited in his navy suit, and when he finally turned around, his reaction said everything. Then came portraits with the full bridal party, the groomsmen in navy and the bridesmaids in soft lavender gowns.
The Reception, Lavender Light and a Packed Dance Floor
Decor by Phuong Nguyen of LUX decor turned the ballroom into something out of a dream: a round floral moon arch draped in wisteria, glowing LED panels behind the sweetheart table, and lavender centerpieces on every table. Event coordinator Rachel Baxter of Blush by Brandee Gaar kept every transition smooth, and dinner from Hao Wah Chinese Restaurant had guests going back for more.
The grand entrances set the tone for the night, with sunglasses, signs and some impressive dance moves. Phi and Loannie shared their first dance on a cloud of low fog, cut the cake under the floral arch, and then iRock Your Party took over the music. Glow sticks came out, kids joined the dance floor and the energy never dropped. The night ended with a sparkler send off that felt like a finish line worthy of two car lovers.
The Vendor Team That Made It Happen
Thank you to the incredible team that made Phi and Loannie's day possible: Canvas Event Venue for a beautiful, flexible space, Rachel Baxter of Blush by Brandee Gaar for flawless coordination, LeJeune Artistry for hair and makeup, iRock Your Party for sound and DJ, Thuy Vincent Nguyen and Tuoi Bui Nguyen for hosting the Vietnamese traditions, Hao Wah Chinese Restaurant for catering, and Phuong Nguyen of LUX decor for the stunning decor.

Why Phi & Loannie's Wedding Will Stay With Us
Two locations, two outfits for the bride, a surprise Ôo dà i from her mother in law and a whole lot of car talk. What we will remember most is how easy Phi and Loannie made it to feel like part of the family. That is what makes a wedding day unforgettable.
This is just a peek. There is so much more coming.
Congratulations, Phi & Loannie
Thank you, Phi and Loannie, for trusting Henry M Production with all of it. From the tea ceremony at home to the last sparkler at Canvas, it was a joy to be there with you. We hope your next drive on the Tail of the Dragon is just as fun as this day was.
