A Traditional Vietnamese Wedding Day
Vietnamese weddings often unfold in two parts: a morning of family ceremonies at home and an evening banquet with everyone the couple loves. Hieu and My's day followed that rhythm beautifully, with both families present for every meaningful moment.
Getting Ready
My's makeup by TuMi Duong was elegant and timeless, perfect with her áo dài in the morning and her gown at night. The morning was full of excitement, with family helping with every last detail.
The Tea Ceremony
Gift trays passed from hand to hand, elders shared blessings, and Hieu and My honored their parents and grandparents with tea. These quiet moments of respect and gratitude are always some of our favorites to capture.
A Six Hour Break and a Sneak Peek
With six hours between the morning traditions and the reception, our team went to work. We edited a selection of images from the tea ceremony and portraits, and by evening we had a sneak peek slideshow ready for guests. Seeing the morning replayed on screen, while the day was still happening, was a moment everyone loved.
The Reception
The evening banquet brought everyone together for dinner, toasts and dancing. Hieu and My moved from table to table greeting guests, and the celebration carried on late into the night.
