A Vietnamese Wedding in Tampa Bay
Hai and Uyen's day followed the beautiful rhythm of a traditional Vietnamese wedding: a morning of family rituals, red gift trays and heartfelt introductions, then an evening banquet where everyone they love came together to celebrate.
Tampa Bay has one of the most vibrant Vietnamese communities in Florida, and days like this one show why. Elders guided the traditions, cousins jumped in to help, and the whole family made the couple feel surrounded by love.
The Tea Ceremony
The tea ceremony is always the heart of the day for us. Both families gathered, the gift trays passed from hand to hand, and Hai and Uyen offered tea to their parents and grandparents with real gratitude. We love watching the small moments here: a mother adjusting a necklace, a father's proud smile, a quiet blessing that only the couple can hear.
Portraits That Felt Like Them
Between the traditions, we stepped away for portraits. Hai and Uyen did not need much direction. They laughed, leaned into each other and let their personalities shine, which is exactly what makes portraits feel natural instead of posed.
The Reception, Flowers, Cake and a Full Dance Floor
The evening celebration brought everything together. Dinner from Hao Wah kept the banquet tables happy, and florals by Cindy's Floral LLC gave the room a soft, romantic glow. The cake by Holly Nguyen was as pretty as it was delicious.
Our MC, Nguyên Khanh, kept the program moving with warmth and humor, guiding guests through the toasts, the cake cutting and the first dance before the dance floor took over for the rest of the night.
